AIG. Adamu Usman is the Assistant Inspector General of Police/Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited. He was born on 15th March, 1962 in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State. His academic qualifications include B.A (Public Administration) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Masters in Public Administration (MPA), Masters in Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice and Advanced Diploma in Security Operations & Management.
AIG Adamu Usman enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet ASP in 1988.
He has served in many Police Commands and Formations across the country. His previous posting before taking over as Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited was Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command.
He has attended many professional courses/workshops, which include Public Relations Development Course; Strategic Leadership and Command Course, and Anti-Terror Course in Special Academy Beijing, China.
He is a Fellow International Institute of Professional Security (FIIPS); Member International Chief of Police and Member International Security Organization (ISO-SEC).
